Online or offline? Know the correct way to submit IGNOU assignments and avoid mistakes

An important information has come out for the students of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). The last date for submission of Ignou assignments for June Term End Examination 2025 has been fixed as 31st May 2025. These assignments determine 30 percent of the final result of the students, so it is very important to submit on time. Students can submit their assignments by physically visiting their regional centers or study centers or can also send them online through Google Docs.

Can be submitted in both online and offline mode

IGNOU has made the process of submitting Ignou assignments easy and flexible. If the student wishes, he can submit hard copies of handwritten assignments in his study center or submit assignments in PDF format through online Google Doc. The most important thing for online submission is that the link of Google Doc should be kept public so that the evaluators can easily access it. It is mandatory to provide name, enrollment number, course code, study center code, mobile number and email ID on the first page of each assignment.

Same last date for all courses

Whether students are enrolled in B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., BCA, MA, M.Com, MBA or any other diploma and certificate program, the same last date for submission of assignments for all courses is 31 May 2025. IGNOU collects assignments twice a year – one in December and one in June. The process of submitting assignments for the June 2025 exam is currently underway. Students can also visit the website of their respective study center to check if their center has the facility of online submission.

Follow the rules to get good marks

According to IGNOU, Ignou assignments are an important medium to test the understanding of students. Preparing them carefully and submitting them on time helps students get good marks. Ignou Assignments should always be handwritten and neat. It is mandatory to have the student’s enrollment number and signature on every page of the assignment. If students do not submit the Ignou assignments by the due date, they will not be allowed to appear in the term end examination which may affect their academic year.
